I’ve recreated over 25 historic interiors in England, Wales, Scotland and Belgium. You can find a full list of them here and pictures of many of them in the historic interiors gallery
Interiors list View GalleryMy interiors range in date from the later mediaeval period up to the 1960s. You can see my mediaeval recreations at Barley Hall, York; Tretower Court in Powys; and Walraversijde near Ostend in Belgium. You’ll find my Tudor and Stuart interiors at the Tudor Merchant’s House in Tenby, Pembrokeshire; Plas Mawr in Conwy; the Black and White House in Hereford; Strangers’ Hall, Norwich and Oxwich Castle in the Gower.
At Nantclwyd House, Ruthin, Denbighshire I’ve recreated rooms of seven periods, from 1435 up to 1942, and at Blaenavon Ironworks I’ve produced cottage interiors of six dates from 1790 to 1967, as well as an early Victorian shop.
At the Judge’s Lodging, Presteigne, Powys you can tour a gas-lit house full of recreated Victorian rooms, from scullery to living rooms and court room. At the Rectory, part of the recently-opened Story of Emily presentation at St Ive near Liskeard, Cornwall, you’ll find the birthplace of Emily Hobhouse faithfully recreated as it was in about 1875.
